Tempered (or Toughened) glass is a type of safety glass processed by controlled thermal or chemical treatments to increase its strength compared with normal glass. During the manufacturing process, the glass is heated to approximately 720 °C, creating balanced internal stresses that provide exceptional durability. When broken, it shatters into small, blunt fragments instead of sharp shards, significantly reducing the risk of severe injury.
Tempered glass features excellent thermal stability, capable of enduring high temperature differences ranging from 150°C to 200°C.
It is 3 to 5 times stronger than standard glass and offers superior resistance to bending and impact.
Designed to crumble into small granular chunks when broken, ensuring maximum safety for human users.
