Product Structure
Product Structure: The structure of cadmium telluride thin-film solar cells consists of five layers: glass substrate, transparent conductive oxide layer (TCO), cadmium sulfide (CdS) window layer, cadmium telluride (CdTe) absorption layer, and back contact/electrode.
Good Weak Light Performance CdTe is a direct bandgap material with excellent absorption. Performance in early morning, evening, or cloudy conditions is significantly better than crystalline silicon cells.
Low Temperature Coefficient Performance remains stable at high temperatures. The coefficient is about half that of crystalline silicon cells, generating more power in hot environments.
High Conversion Efficiency Spectral response is highly compatible with the solar spectrum. Theoretical efficiency reaches 28-29%, with significant potential for development.
Superior Stability Does not suffer from light-induced degradation. Output remains consistent in humid climates.
