Toughened U Shaped Glass

The tempering process for channel glass up to 20' long utilizes constructed custom tempering ovens exclusively for three-dimensional channel glass. This machinery and professional experience yield dimensionally consistent glass products.

Tempered U channel glass is annealed glass that has undergone a second heat treatment to raise compression to 10,000 psi or greater. It is three to five times stronger than annealed channel glass and is recognized by its safe break pattern - relatively small, harmless fragments (dicing), which markedly reduces the likelihood of injury.
