Tempered & frosted U Shaped Glass undergo sandblasting or frosting followed by a specialized tempering process. Utilizing custom-constructed tempering ovens designed specifically for three-dimensional channel glass up to 20' long, our procedures ensure dimensionally consistent glass quality.

Tempered U channel glass is annealed glass that has undergone secondary heat treatment to raise compression to 10,000 psi or greater. It is three to five times stronger than standard annealed channel glass and is characterized by its safe break pattern—forming small, harmless fragments (dicing) that reduce the risk of injury from sharp shards.

Our tempering machines are engineered for three-dimensional channel glass, supporting lengths up to 20 feet. This secondary heat treatment increases the glass strength significantly. Tempered channel glass is recognized globally for its durability and the unique "dicing" phenomenon, which marks a significant safety improvement over standard jagged glass breakage.
