Toughened Color Coated U Channel Glass

The tempering process for channel glass up to 20' long utilizes custom tempering ovens specifically designed for three-dimensional channel glass. This machinery and experience yield dimensionally consistent glass.

Tempered U channel glass is annealed channel glass that has undergone a second heat treatment to strengthen the glass and raise compression to 10,000 psi or greater. It is three to five times stronger than standard annealed glass and is recognized by its safe "dicing" break pattern, which reduces the risk of injury from sharp shards.

Heated at 650 degrees Celsius onto the inside face of the channel, providing a colorfast, durable, and scratch-resistant finish. Colors can be customized according to RAL or Pantone standards.

Color-coated U glass offers decorative effects for exteriors while creating diverse shapes and patterns through light integration.

Available in normal clear, tinted blue, tinted green, and low iron (ultra-clear) options. Customized sizes and patterns are fully supported to meet specific architectural needs.
