Tempered Sandblasting U Channel Glass

Tempered & sand blasted U Shaped Glass are sandblasted firstly and then undergo tempering processing. The tempering process accommodates channel glass up to 20' long using custom-constructed ovens designed specifically for three-dimensional channel glass. Our procedures and machinery ensure dimensionally consistent glass.

Tempered U channel glass is annealed glass that has undergone a second heat treatment to raise compression to 10,000 psi or greater. This makes it three to five times stronger than standard channel glass. It is characterized by its safety "dicing" break pattern, which creates small, harmless fragments instead of sharp shards.

Our tempering machines handle channel glass with precision. Tempered channel glass undergoes rigorous heat treatment to strengthen the structure and ensure safety. This phenomenon, called "dicing," markedly reduces the likelihood of injury as there are no jagged edges.
