Insulated Glass Units (IGU / DGU)

Insulated Glass is made of two or more pieces of glass with effective support and evenly spaced and sealed at the periphery to form a dry gas space between the glass interlayers. The interlayer of the insulated glass is initially dry air, and other gases with a lower thermal conductivity than air are currently used. The minimum thickness of the gas interlayer should not be less than 6mm to function as thermal insulation.

Insulated Glass Overview

Key Features

❄️ (1) Thermal Insulation

The thermal resistance of the gas interlayer reduces convective and conduction heat transfer. This keeps the temperature difference between two sides close to or even exceeding 10 °C.

☀️ (2) Heat Preservation

Low-emission films can reduce radiation emissivity to 0.1. In winter, it prevents indoor heat loss; in summer, it blocks solar heat, achieving a comfortable indoor environment year-round.

💧 (3) Anti-condensation

Internal desiccants absorb water molecules to keep the gas dry. Condensation does not occur inside the unit even when external temperatures drop significantly.

Technical Standards

Products comply with international quality certifications: China GB11944; Europe EN1279; America ASTM E2190; Australia AS/NZS4666.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the standard delivery time for insulated glass orders? Generally, orders are processed and ready for shipment within 3 weeks. For items currently in stock, the lead time can be as short as 1 week.
2. What is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)? The standard MOQ is one 20-foot container. However, we allow mixing products of different sizes and specifications within the same container.
3. Can I request samples before placing a bulk order? Yes, samples are provided free of charge and are typically prepared within 1 to 4 weeks depending on the specifications.
4. What is the typical warranty period for these glass products? We offer a 10-year warranty for insulated glass, tempered glass, and window systems, and a 5-year warranty for laminated glass products.
5. How can I receive an accurate quotation? To provide an accurate quote, we require details such as the glass composition, specific thickness, dimensions, total quantity, and any required processing.
6. What type of gas is used between the glass panes? The units can be filled with either dry air or Argon gas to enhance thermal performance and reduce energy transfer.
