Product Overview
Laminated glass consists of a tough protective interlayer made of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) bonded between two panes of glass under heat and pressure. Once sealed together, the glass "sandwich" behaves as a single unit and looks like normal glass. Annealed, heat strengthened or tempered glass can be used to produce laminated glass.
Safety Feature: Laminated glass may crack upon impact, but the glass fragments are held by the protective interlayer rather than falling free and potentially causing injury.
It is the only glass to provide durability, high-performance and multi-functional benefits while at the same time preserving the aesthetic appearance. It offers increased protection from disasters such as hurricanes, earthquakes, and hail storms.
Common Thickness Combinations
  • 6.38mm (1/4") = 3mm glass + 0.38mm PVB + 3mm glass
  • 6.76mm (1/4") = 3mm glass + 0.76mm PVB + 3mm glass
  • 7.52mm (1/4") = 3mm glass + 1.52mm PVB + 3mm glass
  • Custom combinations available upon request.
Multi-purpose Applications
Multi-purpose laminated glass is a composite functional material made by laminating PET, PC board, paper, silk, cloth, wire mesh, and other materials using EN or EVA film between glass sheets.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What exactly is laminated glass?
It is a safety glass made by bonding two or more layers of glass with a PVB (polyvinyl butyral) interlayer under high heat and pressure.
Q2: Why is laminated glass considered safer than regular glass?
When broken, the glass shards adhere to the PVB interlayer instead of scattering, reducing the risk of injury and maintaining the integrity of the opening.
Q3: What colors are available for the glass and interlayer?
We offer a wide range including clear, bronze, grey, blue, green, and specialized colors like milk white or red via tinted PVB or tinted glass.
Q4: Can laminated glass be used for soundproofing?
Yes, the PVB interlayer has excellent sound-dampening properties, making it ideal for airports, hotels, and recording studios.
Q5: What are the standard lead times for orders?
Typically, orders are processed and ready for delivery within two weeks after the final confirmation.
Q6: Does the glass meet international safety certifications?
Yes, our products conform to multiple standards including CCC, AS/NZS2208:1996, EN12150-1, and ASTM C1048.
