Tempered U Profile Glass
The tempering process for channel glass up to 20' long utilizes exclusive custom tempering ovens designed for three-dimensional channel glass. This machinery and specialized procedure yield dimensionally consistent glass.
Tempered U channel glass is annealed glass that has undergone secondary heat treatment to raise compression to 10,000 psi or greater. It is three to five times stronger than annealed glass and is recognized by its safe break pattern (dicing into small, harmless fragments), which markedly reduces the likelihood of injury.
Color Enameled Finish
Color Enameled U glass uses ceramic frits heated at 650 degrees Celsius onto the inside face of the channel. This provides a colorfast, durable, and scratch-resistant finish. Colors can be customized according to your RAL or Pantone number.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the main advantage of Tempered U Profile Glass?
It is 3-5 times stronger than standard annealed glass and breaks into small, blunt fragments, making it much safer for building facades.
Can the color of the glass be customized?
Yes, we provide color enameled finishes based on RAL or Pantone numbers, which are scratch-resistant and durable.
What are the maximum dimensions available?
We can produce U profile glass with a maximum length of up to 12 meters, suitable for large-scale architectural projects.
Is U channel glass effective for soundproofing?
Yes, its unique structure and thickness offer excellent sound insulation properties for urban environments.
What glass types are available for the U profiles?
Options include normal clear, low iron (ultra-clear), tinted blue, and tinted green glass.
Is the color coating resistant to outdoor weather?
Yes, the ceramic frits are heated at 650°C onto the glass, ensuring a weather-proof and scratch-resistant finish for exterior use.
