Product Description

95.8% Light Transmittance Anti Reflective AR Glass

Anti-reflective glass is a float glass with an optically interference coated on one or two sides to eliminate reflections and increase the light transmission. Also known as anti-coating glass or low reflective glass, it is manufactured through coating two reflective layers. The max transmittance can be up to 98%.

The purpose of an anti-reflective (AR) coating is to reduce these reflections off the lenses. When applied in a thickness of about a quarter of light's wavelength, the two reflections from each side of the film basically cancel each other out through destructive interference, minimizing the glare you see.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the light transmittance of this AR glass?
Our Anti-Reflective (AR) glass features a high light transmittance rating of 95.8%, with a maximum potential transmittance of up to 98% depending on the coating configuration.
What thicknesses and sizes are available?
We provide a wide range of thicknesses from 3mm to 25mm. The maximum size available is 3048X5000mm, with standard sizes like 1830X2440mm and 2140X3300mm also in stock.
How does anti-reflective glass work?
AR glass is treated with an interference coating that utilizes destructive interference. By applying a specific thickness of film, reflections from each side of the film cancel each other out, significantly reducing glare.
What are the primary applications for AR glass?
It is ideal for museum exhibits, high-end retail storefronts, observation windows, hospital windows, and protecting valuable art where clarity and minimal reflection are critical.
Does this glass provide UV protection?
Yes, the anti-reflective coating helps prevent a large portion of UV radiation, protecting interior items from fading and damage.
Which quality standards does your glass meet?
Our glass products comply with international safety standards including EN12543 (Europe), ANSIZ97.1 (USA & Canada), and AS/NZS2208 (Australia).
