MGW Glass
High-efficiency vacuum insulated glass configurations tailored for extreme sub-zero resistance and retrofit applications.
Why Vacuum Insulated Glass (VIG) is the Definitive Glazing Technology for Orkhon Province
Located in northern Mongolia, Erdenet (the capital of Orkhon Province) experiences one of the most demanding sub-Arctic continental climates in the world. Characterized by long, severe winters with temperatures routinely plunging below -35°C to -40°C, high winds across the steppes, and heavy seasonal heating loads, the region demands architectural materials engineered for absolute thermal integrity. Traditional double glazing (IGU) and even standard gas-filled triple glazing struggle to prevent thermal bridging, edge-seal condensation, and substantial radiative energy loss under such extreme temperature gradients ($\Delta T > 60^\circ\text{C}$).
Shandong MGW Glass Technology Co., Ltd. provides next-generation Vacuum Insulated Glass (VIG) engineered specifically to solve these cold-climate building envelope challenges. By evacuating the air layer between two tempered glass panes to a high-vacuum level of $10^{-4}\text{ Pa}$, thermal conduction and convection are virtually eliminated. Combined with advanced Triple-Silver Low-Emissivity (Low-E) coatings, our VIG products achieve an extraordinary center-of-glass thermal transmittance ($U$-value) as low as 0.40 W/m²K (R-14 equivalent) in a profile only 6mm to 12mm thick—outperforming conventional triple-pane windows that are four times thicker and significantly heavier.
How microscopic vacuum gaps out-perform argon gas and triple glazing in extreme environments.
Conduction and convection require a molecular medium to transfer heat. By creating a high-vacuum cavity ($10^{-4}\text{ Pa}$), gaseous heat transfer is reduced to near zero. Heat can only pass via radiation, which is blocked by our Low-E coatings.
To prevent the two glass panes from collapsing under atmospheric pressure (approx. 10 tons/m²), an invisible grid of high-strength micro-pillars (0.3mm to 0.5mm diameter) is precision-placed across the vacuum chamber, ensuring uniform load distribution without visual distraction.
Our proprietary inorganic metal edge seal creates a hermetic bond between glass layers. Unlike soft organic butyl seals that degrade over time, our inorganic vacuum seal guarantees a service life exceeding 25+ years without vacuum degradation.

High mechanical strength thermal toughened glass and acoustic PVB/SGP laminated safety panels for structural curtain walls and overhead glazing.
Single, double, and triple silver Low-E vacuum insulated units offering thermal insulation matching solid brick walls.
Fire-resistant glass, bulletproof security glass, ceramic frit printed panels, and smart electrochromic privacy glass.
Delivering engineering-grade solutions across industrial, mining, commercial, and green building developments.
Erdenet’s massive mining facilities generate heavy continuous operations. VIG windows in mining office complexes provide acoustic isolation against industrial noise while keeping indoor spaces comfortably warm with reduced heating energy consumption.
Older apartment blocks in Orkhon Province experience massive heat loss through outdated window frames. MGW VIG units fit into standard profile depth, enabling rapid residential energy retrofits without structural facade modifications.
Modern architectural projects in Erdenet targeting international Passive House (PHI) certification require ultra-low total window $U$-values below 0.80 W/m²K. VIG units easily achieve compliance when paired with insulated frame systems.
End-to-end supply chain reliability, customized manufacturing, and specialized export logistics to Mongolia.
Extensive industry background minimizes project risks, reduces procurement costs, and ensures complete specification compliance.
Utilizing high-precision double-edge grinders, water-jet cutters, and automated vacuum sealing lines for micro-millimeter dimensional tolerances.
100% inspection from raw float glass selection to final vacuum evacuation, seal testing, and heavy-duty timber crate packing.
