When selecting glass for the Italian market, understanding the technical nuances is vital. Laminated glass works on the principle of vibration dampening. A standard 6.38mm laminated glass might provide basic safety, but for true acoustic performance, we utilize Acoustic PVB. This specialized interlayer is softer and more flexible than standard PVB, specifically designed to absorb sound waves in the 1000Hz to 3000Hz range—where the human ear is most sensitive and where "coincidence dip" usually occurs in monolithic glass.
